FF Challenge
We are going to run an 12 week in-house competition starting on August 1st. There is a sign – up sheet at the box and anyone who is interested in participating can write down your name, phone number and e-mail address ( coach’s will be reminding you at every class ).
Here’s how it’s going to go down… We will put all participants names in a hat and draw teams. Each team will have a designated coach. We will pick a few benchmark wods to do at the start of the competition and also will do body fat compositions. After 12-13 weeks, we will put you through the same benchmark WODs and do body fat compositions again and the team with the biggest improvement wins. Each competitor will be required to keep a food journal and a work out journal ( you can use 1 journal for both ). If the journals aren’t completely filled out and up to date, that team gets disqualified! Accountability at its finest!!
Who’s going to step up and take the Challenge???!!!
The challenge that we are having is not something that is a physcial event like the games. It is a challenge to see which team can improve the most over a 3 month time period. Everyone can do it and should do it. @ CrossFit Thunder 100 % of the members have already signed up
Here is how the point system works for the FF Challenge:
- 10 points for every mm lost on bodyfat test
- 75 points for initial labs
- 150 points for follow up labs
- 2 points for every second improved on selected WODs
- 25 points for a lifting PR on selected lifts and 1 point extra for each point over previous PR
~~ Labs are $60 for the following: Vitamin D, Insulin, Hgb A1C, Lipid profile ( Vitamin D labs alone are normally $200 so this is a really good deal )
Body fat and weight measurements will start on Monday August 2nd
The Challenge will end with final body-fat measurements on Oct 29th/30th and the 2nd annual FF costume party to follow
If you need a Journal to use for the challenge, you can print the one from the link below and use it. It is ready to print 90 days worth of logs and has a tracker of benchmark WODs and PRs as well. Just hit print and put in a three ring binder. Its 101 Pages, so you might want to print front and back.
