    Today’s WOD was a painful one. Good job to all the 545ers. I finished in 30:59 unmodified.

    I can check off on one of my 2010 goals today. I was able to complete today’s WOD before Angie. It was a miracle or maybe Venus must be alined with Pluto or some crazy stuff like that. Today I will bask in glory but come tomorrow she will probably blow me away like she has been doing.

    Haha, congrats, Derek — surpassing Angie on any given wod is always a significant accomplishment (and one I have almost never experienced). However, I feel compelled to jump in here on behalf of my Firebreather Bowl teammate — Angie cranked out about 3 million full squat snatches and about eight million double unders while carrying our team yesterday and trying to keep us in the game, so she may have been a little gassed today lol.

    I agree, Derek, painful is a good way to describe this one. The situps were a breeze, but one of my weaknesses (the push ups) was exploited big time today. At approximately 6:50 am, having to get on the road to get to work, I conceded and modified my push ups for the last two sets. It didn’t help much. I went from one-rep sets, to three-rep sets. I finished in 26:55 (or close to it.)

A Fundamentals class will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturdays. It is HIGHLY recommended that anyone that hasn’t been CrossFitting for at least 4 months attend this class. You can stay for the WOD immediately following if you would like.
